Okay, after all that stuff about Sisyphus, here is a picture of my upside down beans; if my harvests so far are anything to go by, growing against the grain is not a bad thing at all.

Easter planting: Aloe vera update

Here’s my aloe vera minus a couple of lower leaves, but otherwise healthy enough, and two other plantlets I’ve been given which I’m rooting for future planting. I’m not a Christian but I like the sense of seasonal change at Easter; it always brings on such a sense of hope.

Here’s an aloe vera plant I bought for 29p at the local Oxfam shop where I volunteer. It looked a bit neglected so I decided to take it home. Sometimes it’s easy forget the small things.
