This is not a blog about meditation techniques or lessons in spirituality. It reflects my efforts to understand my practice, and so will always be about reflection not prescription. Take something from it, leave something behind, or just pass through it in peace.
Sogyal Rinpoche
Come to the path as humorously aware as possible of the baggage you will be bringing with you: your lacks, fantasies, failings and projections. Blend, with a soaring awareness of what your true nature might be, a down-to-earth and level-headed humility, and a clear appreciation of where you are on your spiritual journey and what still remains to be understood and accomplished. — The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying (1992)RSS Feeds

Just discovered your blog and looking forward to reading it. On another note, we are ships that have crossed each other in the night: I’ve seen you on Sasstrology and, I think, on Jeremy Neal’s page. Just wanted to say, “Nice to meet you!”
Thanks, NR! Good to *meet* you!
yes i can co-relate the article on 8th house with my life experience . i m 28 years old but feel like older from soul ( may be of a thousand year old ). i have 5 planets in 8th house : sun, saturn, pluto, mercury, jupiter. i feel all the spheres that 8th house touches. eventually i came to a conclusion that 8th house is not atall a bad house, its indeed a house of great value, spritual value. 8th house is intense as it transforms the soul.
Please read tatpi.com/astrology to read my experience on 8th house
only the living dead could think we as a human race are worse off now then at any other time. can you imagine what life was like during the time of Tess of the d’Arburvilles for “joeQpublic”? we have replaced gold bars in bank vaults for digits on a screen, so big deal if people make money trading futures via quantitative methods, they finance their wives with eneough funds to buy aromatic candles and crystals from bullshit artists as yourselfs. people like you should be driven into the sea.
Hello Michael, very insightful, thank you. It is ‘Tess of the d’Urbervilles’ by the way, and fictional. QED.
gee thanks “gramaticus”.
